Too bad this product was not as cost efective as the PIXMA1500. The ink cartridges are way too expensive for the IP2600.
Pro : None
Con : You Name it

The Selphy CP400 does multiple sizes: 4x6, wallet(credit card) & sheets of stickers! The ink is THE most afforadable ink available, per ml. & the photos are crisp & clear every time!

My daughter loves being able to print pics w/ the built in IR from her camera phone, just by walking by the printer!

We can do a slideshow of all the pics on the LCD screen, crop, rotate, make stickers, & the best part is ALL prints are 100% boarderless, just like lab prints. Prints are dry as soon as they are printed, NO WAITING TIME =O).

This is truely a great, simple to use, compact printer for every one! We highly reccommend it!
Pro : most cost efficient, space saving, high quality printer ever owned (have owned MANY!)
Con : camera phone prints (becasue of the phones low resolution) only look good on the wallet sized papers.

I have been buying HP printers since 1991 and have been using them since 1988. During that time, I have been their biggest fan. Equally important is the fact that HP honored warranties on an HP III and the much-maligned 6P.
My most recent purchase has forced me to reconsider the merit of buying HP printers. I purchased the HP k80 multifunction machine less than three weeks ago. While the print quality is good, it does not live up to the multifunction claims. This stems from the fact that the automatic document feed simply does not feed pages consistently for any of the facsimile, copy or scan functions. This is true for documents of 5 pages and 20 pages in length. Needless to say this is a serious problem for a multifunction machine.
HP support has gone sharply downhill. The web site offers troubleshooting, which is largely unhelpful and if you email the problem, the response duplicates the troubleshooting instructions you already found on the web site. This occurs even when you write in the email that you have already tried these troubleshooting steps. While I realize that it is possible that the company receives complaints from customers who forget to plug in the machine, it is also clear the customer support is not prepared to deal with the more sophisticated customer. At $399 a machine, this is just not acceptable. I would strongly recommend that any person looking for a relatively high-end multifunction machine not buy this one.
Pro :
Con :

We have about ten of these bad boys in our office. For over a year we have had problems with the HP provided driver to run their Director software correctly. Needless to say, HP has never, ever even attempted to resolve this issue and they have known about this for over a YEAR. Unbelievable. You can go to HPs' web site, and check out their forums to see what I mean. Lots of angry people.
If you are a professional this is a problem, if you are not, this is even a bigger problem.
I have worked with HP products for a real long time, and it's sad to see the demise of what was once a great company.

Microsoft had to finally produce a patch to fix HPs' driver problem. That has also not corrected the problem.

As of today, I am spending the next week researching what Multifuntion I must buy to replace all of these HP Officejets. Sad.
Pro :
Con :

While this printer isn't the fastest around, it isn't too slow. And when compared to the inkjets I've had in the past (HP & Canon) its a perfect printer. The set up was easy on Windows 2000. (Although set up on Win2000 requires additional steps as compared to Win98 or ME)

I NOW TRULY SAY GOOD BYE TO THE RIP OFF ARTISTS AT THE ONE HOUR PHOTO LAB!!!

I print my own pictures! PCMCIA slot on the front lets you print pictures from your memory card from your camera without even using the computer if you want. Slot also lets you upload images to your computer from your camera flash memory card.

My only complaint is that on certain paper--like Kodak Brand Photo Paper--the ink doesn't settle properly. Epson says if this happens, then use Epson paper. On Epson paper everything looks absolutely perfect--you can't see even a single dot. Plain paper printing is excellent (for plain paper.) Color reproduction is nearly flawless in what I have printed thus far.

I Love this printer & I highly recommend this it if you want great photo quality output at a fairly reasonable price. And I really feel I got my money's worth. ($198.98) (MUCH BETTER PRICE AND QUALITY THAN Hewlett Packard)
Pro :
Con :

I bought this printer a couple of weeks ago, along with a 2 megapixel camera. You are supposed to be able to use it to print pictures without a computer, but I didnt have the right adapter, so I hooked the printer up to my computer.

The printer comes with a sample pack of glossy photo paper and matte photo paper. I decided to use the glossy paper. The first couple of pictures I printed came out very good, but if I looked at them really closely, I could see a tiny bit of graininess. Later, I realized that I could change the paper settings on my computer. I changed the settings from `plain paper` to `glossy photo paper`, and decided to print a few more pictures. I printed 5x7s, and they are just as detailed and clear as a real photo. I examined them closely, and I cannot seem to find any dots or grains. The pictures definitely dont look like they came from am inkjet printer. The ink dries very quickly and doesnt seem to smear or run. In solid-colored areas, there were no stripes or lines.

This is a great printer. It is not expensive at all (I paid about $140 for it.) I will never have to use a film camera again.

Just remember to change the paper settings to the type of paper you are using, and the results will be amazing!
Pro :
Con :

This printer produced 35mm quality photos from most any digital camera. I have used an old poloroid to a new C-4000 olympus. A great product and great quality when glossy paper is used. I have not needed support yet so I can not comment on that.
Shop the net for the best prices and shipping charges. Then go to your local Staples and they may price match it.
Pro :
Con :
